| The LikeFiveES is not simply an elastomer version of the existing LikeFive, but rather a major change to its shape. The primary reasons for elastomerizing the Like series are buoyancy and drifting action. However, the existing LikeFive had too much buoyancy when elastomerized in its original shape, making it difficult to maintain range when used with a jig head due to the tendency to rise. So, while retaining the benefits of elastomerization, the LikeFiveES has evolved into a shape that reduces buoyancy and makes it easier to maintain range. The body's textured finish, inherited from the Like series, combined with the elastomer material and flat sides, creates an intensely lustrous look. Salt is mixed only in the belly. The lure weighs approximately 7.8g and its action is a roll at the front of the body. The rear responds to the front's rolling action with a flapping action. Its tail action draws bass accustomed to seeing rolling actions into a bite. |
